Why is OneNote not showing my notebooks in the correct order in OneNote for Windows 10?

Below is a list of steps to help organize your notebooks


  1. Open OneNote – To open OneNote, select the Start button, type OneNote in the search box, and then select OneNote from the results.
  2. Navigate to Notebooks list – At the top of the page, select Notebooks to open the list of notebooks associated with your account.
  3. Group Notebooks – Group notebooks and sections together by dragging and dropping them into different sections.
  4. Reorder Notebooks – Once you have grouped everything in the notebooks list, you can choose to rearrange them by clicking and dragging the notebooks and sections to create your desired order.
  5. Rename Notebooks – If necessary, you can also rename notebooks and sections by right clicking on their name and selecting Rename.
