Why is OneNote not allowing me to insert or embed files?

Check that the file type you’re trying to insert is accepted by OneNote. For example, OneNote only allows images, audio and video files.
Ensure your file is less than 25MB.
Make sure you have the right permissions and access to insert the file you’re attempting to.
Try clearing the cache and restarting the application.
Check that the file you want to insert is still stored in the same location.
Consider inserting a link to the file rather than embedding it into OneNote.
