Why is OneDrive showing duplicate or multiple copies of my files?

Here is a list of things you should do if you are seeing duplicate or multiple copies of your files in OneDrive:


  1. Check the name of the file for discrepancies.
  2. Review your recycle bin to ensure all deleted files have been permanently removed.
  3. Turn on the Focused Inbox in Outlook if you have an Office 365 subscription.
  4. Make sure you are connected to the most recent version of any cloud service you may be using.
