Below is the list of steps to address incorrect file permissions:
Check if the permissions are applied for the shared drive or individual folder inside it.
If applied at folder level, check if need to apply again to any new files inside that folder or folder itself.
If applied at shared drive level, check if need to apply the permission for all subfolders inside that shared drive.
Run check permissions command to see the existing permissiosn around users on the folder as well as the shared drive.
Remove existing permissions for the user(s).
Re-apply the desired permissions for the user(s).
