Why is my printer producing black smudges on the page?

1. Check that the paper tray is not overloaded.
2. Check the condition of the toner or ink cartridge.
3. Check that the paper in the tray is not curling or wrinkled.
4. Check that the printer and tray are clean and free from dust particles.
5. Clean the printer rollers.
