Why is my printer not scanning documents at the correct resolution?

  1. Check the operating instructions and user manual of the printer and resolve any issues as per recommended settings.

  2. Ensure the printer is compatible with the software or device you are scanning from.

  3. Make sure the resolution settings are set correctly in the printer preferences.

  4. In case it is not possible to change the resolution, try to optimize the settings for the specific type of document you are scanning.

  5. Check the connection and the USB (or other) cable is stable and not loose.

  6. Try to restart the printer and/or unplug and plug in the power supply.
