- Check the audio format
Make sure that the audio format is compatible with PowerPoint. This means that the audio file must be a .WMA, .WAV, or .MP3 format. - Confirm audio clips are properly inserted
Verify that the audio files are properly inserted into each slide. This should be done by clicking on each audio icon to listen to the audio clip. Also, check the audio tape icon to make sure the clip is playing when the slide is displayed. - Check for volume control problems
Click on the audio icon in the Edit menu to adjust the volume. Also, make sure that the audio icon does not have a line through it. If it does, locate the audio control indicator on the bottom of the slide and increase the volume likely to a higher volume level. - Test audio using the slide show mode
Verify that the audio clips are working properly by playing the slide show. To do this, click on the slide show icon and move your mouse over each audio icon. This will play the audio clip for the user. - Re-insert audio files
If all the steps described above do not work, try to remove the audio clip from each slide and re-insert the audio file. This should allow the audio clips to be played during the slide show.
