Things to try if your phone’s sound is not working:

1. Check that the mute switch on the side of your device is off.


2. Make sure that your ringer volume is high enough. If it is, you should hear a sound when you adjust the ringer with buttons or the Control Center.


3. Check to see if Do Not Disturb is enabled. If it is, sounds won’t play when notifications come in.


4. Check to see if the sound isn’t muted in your media app. You can easily check this in the Settings app.


5. Restart your device to see if the sound starts working.


6. Check to see if Bluetooth is on. If Bluetooth is on, your device might be sending audio to a Bluetooth accessory instead of the speaker.


7. If you have headphones plugged in, check to see if your device is set to play sound through them.
