If you have spilled liquid on your laptop’s keyboard, here is a list of steps you should take in order to help save it:
- Disconnect the laptop from any power sources and remove the battery if possible.
- Carefully wipe away any excess liquid from the areas around the keys with a dry cloth.
- Lay the laptop upside down with its keyboard facing downward in order to drain out as much liquid as possible.
- Leave the laptop in this position for at least 24-48 hours until it is completely dry.
- Once the laptop is dry, slowly put the battery back and turn on the laptop. If the laptop does not turn on, contact a professional technician.
