1. Check your laptop’s power cable – make sure it is plugged in properly to an active power source.
2. Check to see if the battery is installed properly into the laptop.
3. Restart the laptop.
4. Check your laptop’s device manager and check to see if the battery is present.
5. Check if the BIOS firmware is up-to-date.
6. Remove the battery and then put it back in.
7. If the issue persists, then replace the battery with a new battery or contact a technician for further assistance.
