There are a few things you can do to see if you can get your laptop touchpad working again:
- Check to make sure the settings of your touchpad driver in Device Manager are correct and up to date.
- Check in your system settings to make sure the touchpad is enabled.
- If necessary, clean the touchpad if it is dirty or gummy.
- If a hardware issue is suspected, connect a USB mouse or pointer device to check if it is responding.
