Why is my laptop not recognizing Wi-Fi networks?

< 1 min read

  1. Check for Range: Make sure you are within range of your Wi-Fi network.

Move closer to the router, if you haven’t already.

  2. Restart Network Components: Restart your network router, modem, and computer to ensure they are all properly communicating with each other.

Turn all off for 30 seconds and then turn them back on.

  3. Check Wi-Fi Adapter Settings: Check to verify that your Wi-Fi adapter is enabled and that your network is properly configured.

Go to your device’s Settings and look for Wi-Fi settings.

  4. Check your Compatibility: Check to ensure that your laptop is compatible with the router you are using by checking the manufacturer specifications.

Consult the manufaturer documentation for guidance.
