Why is my laptop not recognizing USB devices?

  1. Check USB port connections:
    Look closely to make sure the USB male connects to the female USB port.
  2. Check Device Compatibility:
    Make sure the USB device is compatible with your laptop.
  3. Check drivers:
    Look for any driver updates available for the device.
  4. Restart laptop:
    Reboot your laptop to make sure the device works.
  5. Disable USB selective suspension:
    Go to Device Manager and under the USB tab, right-click on the device and disable the USB selective suspend setting.
  6. Try a different USB port:
    If none of the above solutions work, plug the device in a different USB port and see if it works.
