- Check that you are connecting the drive in the right port.
- Check the power supply connected to the CD/DVD drive.
- Update the drivers via device manager.
- Check device manager if the CD/DVD drive is visible.
- Run compatibility troubleshooter if the device is not visible.
- Check device installation settings.
- Run hardware and device troubleshooter.
- Disable and then enable the CD/DVD drive.
- Try a different USB cable.
