Check to make sure your printer is powered on and connected correctly via USB cable.
- Update your software & drivers – Check the manufacturer website for updates to your laptop's software and drivers.
- Restart your printer – Turn your printer off and disconnect the USB cable from your laptop, then reconnect the USB cable and turn your printer on.
- Re-install the drivers – Uninstall any printer drivers associated with your printer from your laptop, and then download and install the latest drivers.
- Connect the printer via WiFi – See if connecting your printer via the wireless network helps.
