To troubleshoot your laptop’s DVD/CD issue:

1. Check the CD/DVD drive tray for obstructions or dirt.
2. Make sure the drive is not forgetting to perss and hold the tray shut.
3. Check if the disc is clean and undamaged.
4. Make sure to correctly insert the disc into the drive.
5. Update the driver for the optical drive.
6. Check the device manager for any errors related to the drive.
7. Uninstall and reinstall the driver, and/or replace the drive itself.
