Why is my laptop not displaying the correct time and date after restarting the system?

< 1 min read

  1. Check the time and date settings.

  2. Adjust the time zone if required.

  3. Check the BIOS to make sure the time, date, and frequency settings are correct.

  4. If the laptop is connected to a network, make sure the network time setting is enabled.

  5. If the settings in the BIOS are correct, check to make sure the laptop is not syncing the time or date from another computer on the network.

  6. Ensure the hardware is not malfunctioning by running hardware tests.

  7. Check for any pending Windows 10 updates as they may contain fixes to the time and date issue.

  8. If all else fails, you may need to perform a system restore or reinstall Windows 10.
