Why is my laptop not detecting the correct time and date?

< 1 min read

  1. Check that your laptop’s Internet connection is stable and that it is connected to the correct time zone.

  2. Check the BIOS settings to make sure your system clock is set correctly.

  3. Make sure all applicable Windows time settings are correctly set.

  4. Run the Windows Network Time Protocol (WNTT) service to synchronise the clock to an external computer.

  5. Check for events in the Event Viewer logs to find any errors that might be causing the issue.
