Why is my laptop keyboard not lighting up after turning off the backlight?

1. Check the keyboard setting in your laptop’s system preferences – the keyboard may have accidentally been set to a different setting.
2. Check to make sure the laptop’s display brightness is at a minimum level.
3. Try to press the FN button plus the C key to toggle the keyboard lighting.
4. If the FN button and C key do not work, then try pressing the F6 key (if your laptop has one).
5. If none of the above steps work, try to press the FN button plus the F5/F6 key to turn on the backlight.
