To improve your internet speed during online gaming sessions:
- Close any applications, websites, or programs that are running in the background and are using up internet bandwidth (i.e. streaming content).
- Check to make sure your computer is running on the most recent version of antivirus and anti-malware software. If outdated, update them.
- Move your computer and game console closer to the modem/router for better and stronger signal.
- If your router supports it, connect your computer and game console to it via ethernet cable instead of wirelessly.
- Perform regular router resets as part of your internet maintenance.
- If server/internet is slow, consider playing online games at off-peak hours (i.e. 3am).
