Why is my internet connection dropping when I use certain devices?

  1. Restart WiFi Access Point/Router: Unplug the power cable from the WiFi access point/router, wait for 10 seconds and then plug the cable back. If possible, connect a laptop or desktop directly to the device with an Ethernet cable.

  2. Check internet connection and signal strength: Verify the signal strength of the connection. Open a web browser and check if you're able to browse the internet.

  3. Redistribute devices: Move any connected devices, such as cordless phones, baby monitors, and microwaves, away from the access point/router to avoid interference.

  4. Connect devices to secure network: Ensure all devices are connected to a secure network by using a unique password for the WiFi access point/router.

  5. Upgrade device drivers: If the problem persists after following the steps above, try to upgrade the device drivers to the website of the manufacturer.
