Why is my Excel sheet not showing the correct result when I use the SUM function?

1. Check to see if you have any cells in your range that contain text.
2. Check that the numbers that you are summing are visible, not hidden by some formatting.
3. Check the cells referenced in the SUM formula to ensure that they don’t contain unexpected characters.
4. If you are including a number range in your SUM formula, ensure that all cells in the range are numbers only.
