Why is my email showing as unread even though I’ve read it in Outlook for Exchange?

  1. Check if you have email rules set up as they sometimes view emails as unread even if you have viewed them.

  2. Verify that the email is a specially formatted message type

  3. Check with your IT/Email provider to see if they are aware of current issues with emails not being marked properly
