Why is my email full and not able to receive new emails?

< 1 min read

Before troubleshooting, it is important to take the time to identify and understand the problem. It’s possible emails are taking up too much space in your account, which can cause your email to full.

  1. Check to see how much space is being occupied by emails: most email providers allow you to check the amount space being used to store emails.
  2. Delete any emails you do not need. If there are emails taking up a lot of room in your account, consider deleting them. Some emails may include large attachments, making them take up more space than others.
  3. Archive emails instead of deleting them, if the emails need to be saved. Archiving moves the emails to an external file and removes them from the main inbox, freeing up more space.
  4. Run a cleanup: some email providers offer a built-in cleanup feature. This can also free up space.
  5. Increase the size of your email account if it is too small. Some providers offer the option to increase the size of your email account, freeing up more space.
Taking these steps should help free up space and allow new emails to be received.
