1. Check to make sure your keyboard and mouse are plugged in and properly connected to the computer
2. Ensure that the ports for the keyboard and mouse are working properly by connecting them to another computer or a laptop
3. Power cycle your computer by turning it off and then back on again
4. Check the Device Manager in the computer’s Settings to see if the keyboard and mouse are recognized by the system
5. If the device drivers are not up-to-date, update them to the latest version
6. Unplug and then reconnect your keyboard and mouse to the computer
7. Replace the hardware if needed
