Why is my computer not recognizing my USB mouse?

Check and make sure the USB mouse is properly plugging in to the approved USB port.
Check wireless mouse batteries.
Verify the mouse you are using is compatible with your computer.
Unplug and then re-plug the USB cable to make sure the connection was successful.
Restart the computer and try again.
