- Check the USB port
See if the USB drive is properly and securely plugged into the USB port. - Check Windows Device Manager
Go to the Device Manager, located in the Control Panel, and explore for the USB drive in the list. - Check the Task Manager
Determine if the device is indicated in the application. - Check the File Explorer
Make sure to check the File Explorer to see if the device is listed in the list. - Restart the Computer
Reboot your computer. - Scan for Hardware Changes
Select the Scan for Hardware Changes option, if available, and then click it to detect any changes.
