Check the settings of your printer to make sure that the scanner is turned on.
In your computer, navigate to the device settings in your system control panel.
Check the status of the scanner in the device settings.
If the scanner is not enabled, enable it and restart your PC.
Connect your computer to the printer via USB cable and see if this solves the problem.
If that doesn’t work, try reinstalling the scanner’s driver with the installation CD that came with your printer.
