Here's a list of things you can do to try and solve the problem:

1. Check if the CD/DVD drive appears in Device Manager.


2. If it does not appear, try uninstalling any removable storage devices listed in Device Manager and restart the computer.


3. Look for any mesages on the Device Manager that could be regarding the CD/DVD drive.


4. Try to update the device driver for the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager.


5. If the drive is still not recognized, try uninstalling the driver and then reinstalling it.
