Why is my computer not connecting to a shared network printer after a software update?

  1. Check if the printer is powered on, and verify that all connecting cables are securely connected.
  2. Print a test page from the printer control panel.
  3. Verify that the printer is connected to the same wireless network as the computer.
  4. Check that the printer is in Ready state by using the printer control panel.
  5. Go to the Control Panel of your computer and open Devices and Printers. Add a printer if the printer isn’t listed.
