Make sure that the printer is physically powered on and connected to the network. If not, proceed to connecting the printer.
Verify that the network cable is securely attached to both the printer and the router. Make sure all cables and routers in the network are properly configured.
Review the printer’s IP address to ensure it is visible on the network. Many printers come with a built-in web page that displays the IP address.
If the printer’s IP address is visible on the network, add the printer as a network printer via the computer control panel.
Once the printer is added to the network, verify that it can be seen by other devices on the network. This can be tested with a ping utility.
