Why is my computer making a clicking noise?

  1. Check the power cable is securely connected to the power outlet and computer.

  2. Ensure the computer is on and plugged into a surge protector.

  3. Check the internal fan to see if it is blocked.

  4. Check the fan is running and not too noisy.

  5. Unplug all non-essential devices from the computer.

  6. Make sure the heatsink is clean and installed properly.

  7. Check that the graphics card is securely installed.

  8. Listen for any strange noises coming from inside the computer.

  9. Check if any additional parts, such as a CD-ROM drive or hard drive, are making a noise.

  10. Update the device driver for the device causing the noise if possible.
