Why is my Active Directory account locked out?

1. Try resetting your password by using the 'Forgot Password' link if available.
2. If that doesn't work, try resetting your password with your security questions.
3. Make sure you have the right username and password.
4. Check for typos in the username and password when entering the details.
5. Check if the account is in the lockout period.
6. If the lock is not automatic, contact the account admin.
7. If admin access is not available contact the service provider.
