Why does my laptop’s external monitor not display anything when connected?

1. Verify the cable and make sure it is securely connected from both ends.
2. Check to make sure all the devices are powered on (laptop, monitor, and connection ports).
   
3. Update the drivers of your graphics card by going to the manufacturer’s website (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel).
4. Connect the laptop directly to the monitor via HDMI or DisplayPort.
5. If the issue persists, try a different cable or different external monitor.
