Why are some users unable to view or edit documents in a SharePoint library?

1. Check that the document is checked in.
2. Check if the user has permissions to view or edit documents in the library.
3. Is an anti-virus program blocking the content?
4. Has the user tried accessing the document on a different browser?
5. Is the document viewable if the user logs out and back into SharePoint?
6. Is the issue limited to a particular file type, such as Microsoft Office documents?
