Why are my merged cells not sorting correctly in Excel?

1. Check that there are no merged rows that should be un-merged.
2. Un-merge the cells, manually sort the data, and re-merged them.
3. Check if the problem is repeating if the sorting is performed on multiple columns.
4. Check if the data is sorting correctly, if it’s a number, is it sorting correctly as a number.
5. Check if the formatting is applied to the entire column and not just the visible cells.
6. Check the Locale settings of the spreadsheet.
