To investigate why your inserted Excel tables are not updating in OneNote for Windows 10:
- Check for updates – Ensure all of your Windows and Office products are up to date.
- Ensure OneNote isn’t in Read Only mode – To check, click File > Info > Protect Workbook >Check read-only.
- Check your Excel application – Make sure there isn’t an extra application instance open in the background.
- Verify OneNote options setting – Go to File > Options > Advanced. Make sure
Save files in OneNote format as the default (.one)
is checked. - Ensure the workbook is shared – From the Review tab in Excel, select
Share Workbook
. - Check Firewall Settings – Ensure the OneNote and Excel applications are allowed through your firewall.
