Why are my inserted audio recordings not playing in OneNote on a Mac?

  1. Check the audio settings:

    Make sure the microphone is not manually muted, the microphone boost is checked, and the recording device is set correctly

  2. Update audio drivers:

    Get the latest version from the audio manufacturer’s website, install, and try again

  3. Troubleshoot the audio device:
