Why are my emails showing up as unread when I have already read them?

  1. Check your email settings
    Depending on your email provider and the app you’re using, there may be a setting to make sure emails are always marked as read when you open them.
  2. Sync your emails
    With some providers, you may need to manually sync emails on your device so they’re marked as read.
  3. Clear the email app’s data
    In some cases, individual app data can get corrupted or compromised. Try clearing the data and starting the app over.
  4. Delete and reinstall the app
    If none of the above options work, delete the app and reinstall it. You’ll want to make sure you have the latest version available.
