Why are my emails being sent to the wrong folders or categories in Outlook when using rules?

Here are a few things that can help resolve the issue:

  1. Check if the rule is correctly created with conditions and actions properly written.

  2. Check if the applicable messages are arriving to the Inbox and not to any other folder.

  3. Check if the message or messages are still present in the Inbox.

  4. Make sure that the specified folder exists.

  5. Check if there is any other rule that is conflicting with the rule in question.

  6. Check if any Third-party add-in is installed and if it is having any conflict with the rule.
