Why are my emails being marked as read on my computer but not on my phone?

  1. Check the syncing settings on your computer and phone
  2. Confirm the account settings – make sure the POP/IMAP server is set to right port and setting
  3. Check if you have another account setup on the computer or phone that could be marking emails as read
  4. Check that the same email address is set up on both the computer and phone
  5. Close all running mail clients and resync the devices
