Why are my cells not wrapping text automatically in Excel?

Here are a few steps to help you wrap text in Excel:


  1. Select the cell(s): Click the cell or select the range of cells that you want to wrap text in.
  2. Go to the Home tab: Click the Home tab at the top of the window to bring up formatting options.
  3. Select the Wrap Text button: Click the Wrap Text button in the Alignment section of the ribbon.
  4. Adjust row height: After you click the Wrap Text button you may need to adjust the row height to fully display the text.
  5. Review your changes: Preview your changes in the spreadsheet to make sure that cell data is correctly displayed.
