- Check if the shared drive is set up to give users delete/rename permissions.
– If so, adjust folder permissions accordingly. - Check the disk space available on the shared drive or server.
– If the disk space is insufficient, try deleting files or folders to free up more space. - Check if the folder or file has already been renamed or deleted.
– If so, restore it from the recycle bin on the shared drive. - Close out all applications or programs that could be using the folder on the shared drive.
– If applications are always being used, try running them in different windows or in the background instead. - Elevate permissions to a higher level when renaming or deleting folders on the shared drive.
– Do this by requesting access from the system administrator.
