Why am I unable to create new folders or subfolders in my Outlook account?

To create new folders or subfolders in your Outlook account:


  1. Sign in to your Outlook account and click Mail in the navigation pane.
  2. Under My Folders, right-click the folder where you want to create a new subfolder.
  3. Select New Folder from the drop-down list.
  4. Type a name for the folder and hit Enter.
