Why am I unable to connect to the internet after changing my DNS settings?

  1. Make sure your modem is disconnected from the wall outlet

  2. Check the ethernet cable connection from modem to the computer

  3. Restart your modem by unplugging it from the wall outlet for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in

  4. Open your internet browser and then enter the IP address of your modem in the address bar of the browser

  5. Look for the DNS settings in your modem’s page and make sure that your DNS settings are correctly entered

  6. Restart your computer to see if the Internet connection has been restored
