Why am I not receiving any notifications for a specific Teams channel?

To troubleshoot and address issues with receiving notifications for a specific Teams channel, do the following:


  1. Check if your notification settings are set up correctly
    Open the specific channel
    Select More options
    Choose Notification settings
    Make sure Channel notifications are turned on and other settings are configured to your preference

  2. Check your device settings
    Make sure you have enough available storage
    Ensure the app is allowed to run in the background and access notifications
    Confirm the app is updated to the latest version

  3. Verify your profile
    For notifications to work properly you need an email attached to your account
    Go to your profile
    Make sure your email address is up-to-date and correct
