My shared drive is showing incorrect or missing file sizes, how can I fix this?

  1. Check the permissions on the shared drive, and make sure there is not any access restriction preventing the system from reading the file sizes.

  2. Validate the preference settings in the operating system.

  3. Check to make sure there are file size lmits set in any of the administrative restricting features.

  4. Identify the devices you are using to access the shared drive.

  5. Determine if any of the devices have enabled disk caching setting.

  6. Reset the devices as necessary per the information you learned.

  7. Run a diagnostic scan to identify and address any related errors.

  8. Restart the shared drive.

If these steps do not work, contact your IT support personnel for further assistance.
