How do I use the sorting and filtering options in Excel?

To use sorting and filtering options in Excel:


  1. Open the dataset in Excel
  2. On the Data tab, in the Sort and Filter group, click the arrow next to the Sort & Filter icon
  3. Select a specific sorting or filtering option
  4. Specify the sorting or filtering criteria and settings
  5. Click the OK button
