To turn off unnecessary apps running in the background on your laptop, try the following steps:

1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del and select Task Manager to view all background programs.
2. In the Processes tab, right-click the app that you want to shut down and select End Process, or select End task if no end process option is available.
3. If you want to turn off a program on startup, select Startup tab and disable the app by selecting Disable.
