How do I troubleshoot the HDMI ports on my Smart TV?

  1. Check all your cables: Make sure your HDMI cords are firmly connected and not damaged at either end. Test with a different cable if possible.
  2. Restart Devices: Unplug all HDMI devices, wait 10 seconds, then reconnect them.
  3. Reset TV Inputs: Select the Input on your Smart TV that correlates with the HDMI connection, press the Menu button, and then select Reset.
  4. Reset the TV: Unplug the TV for several minutes, then hold the power button for 10 seconds or longer to discharge any remaining power.
  5. Check TV Compatibility: Make sure the HDMI ports on your TV are compatible with the device you are connecting. Make sure the device supports HDCP or High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection.
